The measure aims to improve the leisure and leisure services of the local population and to promote income growth and job creation on the territory by supporting the development of rural tourism; to diversify and improve the tourist infrastructure, attractions and facilities for visitors to the territory; to contribute to the preservation and promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of the territory.

The development of tourism is based on the potential of the territory linked to the favorable geographic location / the Danube and the neighboring with Romania /, the rich natural diversity and the cultural and historical heritage. The measure addresses the need for integrated actions of the local administration with the business and the non-governmental sector in order to develop tourism.

It helps to improve the appearance of the settlements and to build a public infrastructure for recreation and tourism, thus creating conditions for the young population to stay in the territory. It is also geared to the need to preserve and develop a territorial identity, based on cultural, historical and natural heritage, in order to unite the local community.
