The objective of the project selection procedure BG14MFPR001-2.005 "Aquaculture providing environmental services" is to compensate aquaculture producers for the additional costs and/or benefits foregone in the cultivation of aquaculture providing environmental services for serious damage caused by predators, e.g. cormorants, pelicans, herons and otters in aquaculture production farms as a result of the application of aquaculture production methods compatible with the specific needs of the environment, including and subject to specific management requirements arising from protected areas of the Natura 2000 network.
