The CLLD approach aims to achieve the following specific local development objectives:

• Improving living conditions in the territories of local communities;

• Creating a dynamic living environment and improving the quality of life through the development of horizontal and cross-sector partnerships and interaction for initiatives of common interest, as well as practices and models for good governance and participation of stakeholders in the development of the territory, as a basis for territorial development;

• Supporting territorial identity, marketing and brands based on the specific territorial potential and products of local character;

• Increasing the competitiveness of local economies and opportunities for creating local businesses, including through diversification and support for alternative activities;

• Supporting the introduction of innovations;

• Strengthening the capacity for scientific research and innovation and the introduction of modern technologies by supporting innovation in enterprises and promoting the transition to a circular economy by supporting investments in enterprises in order to improve resource efficiency;

• Promoting sustainable and quality employment and social inclusion of vulnerable and marginalized groups;

• Preservation and protection of the environment and promotion of resource efficiency, including activities for prevention and risk management and for using the potential of cultural heritage;

• Inclusive education and educational integration.
