- reduction of energy intensity and increase of energy efficiency of aquaculture farms (reduction of losses in energy transmission and distribution, improvement of energy performance of existing buildings, etc.);

- introduction of renewable energy sources (RES) as important local inexhaustible resources to be used to the maximum, both water potential and other sources of clean energy (wind, sun, geothermal water, biomass);

- efficient use of resources, including the reduction of water consumption by stimulating production in recycling systems;

- introduction of resource-saving technologies that reduce the amount of water and medicines used, as well as other chemicals; reducing the eutrophication of water bodies.
