Completed/terminated procedure

Funding under the current procedure is solely in support of non-profit scientific activities for fundamental research aimed at acquiring new knowledge and promoting the participation of young scientists and post-doctoral researchers in research activities. These non-profit scientific activities are aligned with national strategic documents for the development of research and the National Strategy for Development of Scientific Research in the Republic of Bulgaria 2017–2030, contributing to:

Ensuring high qualifications and effective career development for scientists based on high-level research.

Sustainable restoration of the country's international standing in terms of the quantity and quality of internationally visible scientific output.

Expanding the participation of the Bulgarian scientific community in the European Research Area (ERA) and broadening international scientific cooperation.

Increasing the quantity and quality of research related to issues of regional and national importance.

The objective of the procedure is to encourage the conduct of high-quality fundamental research by young scientists and post-doctoral researchers, enhancing their qualifications and achieving high scientific results in the following fields:

Biological Sciences;

Mathematical Sciences and Informatics;

Medical Sciences;

Earth Sciences;

Social Sciences;

Agricultural Sciences;

Technical Sciences (Engineering);

Physical Sciences;

Chemical Sciences;

Humanities.
