By implementing the actions foreseen in the measure, it will be possible to preserve and restore the aquatic biodiversity and aquatic ecosystems; ensure a balance between fishing capacity and available fishing opportunities; improve the competitiveness and viability of enterprises in the fisheries sector, including the small-scale coastal fleet, as well as improving safety and working conditions.
