Completed/terminated procedure

The overall objective of the pre-defined initiative is to provide the refugees from Ukraine and third-country nationals seeking/receiving protection in Bulgaria with a wider range of social, advisory, legal and welfare services and support their integration into society ensuring decent and normal life in Bulgaria.

The specific objectives of the initiative aim to:

• enhance the exchange of knowledge and best practices between Bulgaria and Norway for developing training/teaching courses addressing trainees’ special needs (mental, health and social);

• increase the capacity of teachers and trainers in Bulgarian language training developing curriculum for teaching Bulgarian language to different age groups, level of knowledge and groups’ needs;

• renovate an integration center to create a safe environment for communication for school-age children and their parents, young people and students by implementing free programmes for integration into society and providing legal services, social, educational and psychological support;

• develop refugees’ personal, social and professional skills in different areas, including engagements in creative activities and providing psychological support through group and individual sessions.
