Title:

Guidelines for the use of UMIS in relation to the adoption of the euro

Content:

Dear users of ISUN 2020,

As of 01 January 2026, all fields in ISUN 2020 that contain numeric (BGN) values will be automatically converted from the current BGN amount using the official euro exchange rate: EUR 1 = BGN 1.95583.

For this purpose, the operation of the system’s electronic application and electronic reporting modules will be suspended on 31 December 2025 at 17:00 and will be restored on 01 January 2026 by 18:00.

Outside the above-mentioned period, you will be able to submit your project proposals, reporting documents, and communications in the system.

All financial information submitted through the system after 01 January 2026, including the budget in application forms submitted after this date, must be in euros.

Financial information submitted before 01 January 2026, including budgets in application forms submitted in BGN, will be officially converted into euros by the Contracting Authority if necessary, unless you have received explicit instructions regarding the applicable currency.

Contracts/orders for the provision of grant funding (BFP) that are currently under implementation will be officially converted by the Contracting Authority, with a new version of the respective contract/order created in euros.

Additional information regarding the upcoming changes can be found in the attached document. You may send your questions to the following e-mail address: support2020@minfin.bg
