The implementation of the activity type “Environmental sustainability of the territory and achievement of green transition goals” will contribute to achieving Specific Objective 1: “Development of an environmentally sustainable territory”.

The implementation of the activities covered by the procedure, such as environmental innovation and investment in fisheries and aquaculture production, reducing the carbon footprint of fisheries and aquaculture production, the co-management of marine protected areas, and other measures to protect biodiversity and ecosystems, will contribute to achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal, the Biodiversity Strategy, and the Circular Economy.
