The objective of the current procedure within the framework of the European Partnership RAMP (Raw Materials Partnership) is to support activities related to international scientific and technological cooperation through the implementation of joint research projects between scientists and research teams from Bulgaria and other European countries. The joint initiative is implemented in accordance with the application conditions adopted under the program, approved by the participating funding organizations, and the applicable national requirements and eligibility criteria.
The funding under this procedure aims to encourage the conduct of joint fundamental research to support research projects aimed at ensuring sustainable access to raw materials, promoting the circular economy, achieving environmental sustainability, and minimizing social and environmental costs.
Within the framework of the partnership, international competitive procedures are envisaged for funding projects with the participation of universities and higher education institutions, as well as public and private research organizations from the Member States and countries associated to Horizon Europe. A total of 37 funding organizations from 25 countries are participating in the call, with a total budget of EUR 40 million.
Eligible applicants from Bulgaria are research organizations that meet the requirements set out in the National Eligibility Requirements and Conditions and the Regulations of the Bulgarian National Science Fund. The specific conditions for participation, eligible activities, thematic areas, application and funding deadlines, as well as other specific requirements, are defined in the call documents approved by the consortium.
The call is launched within the framework of a joint call for project proposals, in accordance with the agreements between the participating funding organizations.

Efficient and effective use of raw materials in design and production
Overcoming technological barriers to circularity
Putting circular economy ambitions into action
Innovative approaches for analysing raw materials value chains
