The grant scheme aims at supporting the efforts for modernization and reform of the judiciary system for implementation of the Updated Strategy for Continuation of the Judiciary System, the Strategy for Introduction of e-Governance and e-Justice in the Justice Sector 2014-2020 and/or other key strategic/normative documents on the EU level in the following directions:
• Guarantee of the independence of the court and the other judicial bodies through effective measures against corruption, political and economic pressure and other dependencies;
• Development of human capital of the judiciary and and ensuring high motivation, competence and social responsibility of judges, prosecutors and investigators;
• Good governance of the judicial authorities and high efficiency of their functioning;
• Realization of modern and effective penal policy;
• Guarantee of the rule of law, protection of human rights, access to justice and humanity of justice;
• Increasing the trust in the judiciary through citizen participation and transperency;
• Improving the functioning of authorities of the sector "Justice" through the application of e-justice and optimization of the provision of electronic services.
