The purpose of the procedure is the elaboration/update of municipal plans under Art. 27 of Clean Ambient Air Act for reducing the levels of pollutants to achieve the established air quality limit values in municipalities with excessive levels of the pollutants (fine particulate matter (PM10) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) etc) and to plan measures appropriate to local conditions for improvement of air quality by achieving the determined limit values of the air quality. The procedure is aimed at municipalities whose project proposals have not been submitted within the specified deadline under procedure BG16M1OP002-5.002.
