The procedure aims to increase the competitiveness of young people aged 16 to 29, including by facilitating the transition from education to employment through support for gaining experience in the specialty (internship); gaining work experience, incl. from first job (on-the-job training or supported employment); acquisition of transferable and "soft" skills to increase employability and increase the chances of employment regardless of the specific workplace. Providing young people with opportunities for apprenticeships, on-the-job training or supported employment, alongside new skills applicable across a wide range of occupations, will provide new opportunities for subsequent employment with an employer (same or different) for young people.
