Completed/terminated procedure

The purpose of this procedure is to promote social inclusion and create the right conditions for the sustainable integration of socially excluded Roma, people at risk and poverty.

Nearly 49.3% of the Bulgarian population live at risk of poverty or social exclusion, there are some groups and communities for which the risk of marginalization is disproportionately high and without public support their situation would be difficult to improve. Particularly unfavorable is the situation for some ethnic communities and especially for the Roma ethnic community. On the territory of the LAG "Belovo, Septemvri, Velingrad" the Roma population accounts for 6.6% of the total population, with the majority of them facing the following problems:

- Lack of education among the Roma minority and early dropout of Roma children and young people.

- Deteriorated housing conditions;

- Permanent unemployment and dependency on social benefits;

- High risk of poverty and degraded access to services (including social, health and employment) for a large number of representatives of the Roma community;

The implementation of this procedure aims to achieve a higher degree of social inclusion of the marginalized communities from the territory of the LAG "Belovo, Septemvri, Velingrad". It is expected that the activities of the procedure will cover 25 disadvantaged participants who, as a result of leaving the operation, have begun to seek employment or have a job or are engaged in education / training or have received a qualification or are included in social and health services; 30 Roma who, when leaving the operation, started to look for work or have a job or education / training or have received a qualification or are included in social and health services.
