Sub-measure 4.2. "Investment in processing / marketing of agricultural products" aims to improve the overall activity, economic efficiency and competitiveness of enterprises in the food processing industry. Application of sub-measure 4.2. is implementing Priority 1: "Encouraging local business to create employment, income and diversification of economic activities" and is focused on the implementation of its Specific Objective 1.1: Improving the competitiveness of local agriculture and adding value to local agricultural products.
The support is aimed at modernizing the physical assets of enterprises and farmers processing agricultural products with the following objectives:
• Production of quality products, including those related to short supply chains.
• Creating added value for local agricultural products by supporting the creation and expansion of enterprises in the food processing industry on the territory.
• Establishment of production capacities for agricultural production processing in order to create conditions for additional employment in the territory.

Втори и трети прием по мярката ще бъде обявен след приключване на Първи прием и договорени проекти, единствено и само при наличния остатъчен финансов ресурс, формиран като разлика между първоначално одобрената сума по мярката от стратегията и общата сума на определения финансов ресурс за одобрените в настоящата процедура проекти.
