The purpose of the procedure is to bring the scope and frequency of drinking water quality monitoring, conducted by the authorities of State Health Control in full compliance with European and national legislation.
The procedure is aimed at improving the technical capacity of the State Health Control at the Ministry of Health: National Center for Radio-biology and Radiation Protection - Sofia (NCRRP) and nine Regional Health Inspectorates (RHI) in Burgas, Varna, Veliko Tarnovo Vratsa, Pleven, Plovdiv, Rousse, Stara Zagora and Sofia Municipality carring out laboratory tests on the quality of drinking water for the whole country.
