The objective of the procedure is to ensure the functioning of a national integrated, interdepartmental system for operational monitoring and management of inland water in the Republic of Bulgaria through the implementation of a pilot project for the establishment of a Real Time Water Management System – Iskar river basin. As a result the flood risk will be reduced in four areas with significant potential flood risk within Iskar river basin. The protection of the population will be increased through preparedness for an adequate response to such crises.
On 28 March 2016 the guidelines for application have been amended as in Section 24 "Deadline for submission of proposals," the deadline is changed to 31 May 2016.
On 30 May 2016 the guidelines for application have been amended with regard to the contents of the partnership agreement with the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology to the Bulgarian Academy of Science, the eligible activities and the applicable state aid rules. The deadline for application has been changed to 30 June 2016.
